Jasna Gora
The 'Luminous Mount' is a sacred shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary and home of the Black Madonna icon. It was built in 1382 and nearly all Polish kings were crowned here. is the most sacred place in Poland and holds a special place in the heart of Poles, believers or not. It also hosts the 1983 Nobel Price medal of the ex-president of Poland, Lech Wałęsa.

Museum of Iron Ore Mining
Silesia is the region of coal mining and most of the cities have or had, in the past, mines. Here you can see the history of coal mining as a whole, the different instruments used in different times and much more. Definitely worth a visit in between the great food and mixing up with the pilgrims.
